Los d\u00edas 19 y 20 de octubre de 2023, Cartagena, Colombia fue sede del evento m\u00e1s importante que re\u00fane a l\u00edderes de la industria hotelera tanto nacionales como internacionales, elCongreso Nacional de Hoteleros para el Turismo Responsable e Integrador<\/strong>\u201d. Este evento sirvi\u00f3 como plataforma para la formaci\u00f3n, el debate y las oportunidades de negocio. Paralelamente, se celebr\u00f3 la \u201cExpoCotelco Hospitality Show & Trade<\/strong>\u201d en la que se present\u00f3 la gama m\u00e1s completa de proveedores del sector.<\/p>

El presidente ejecutivo de Cotelco, Jos\u00e9 Duarte Garc\u00eda, destac\u00f3 un repunte en el turismo internacional, pero reconoci\u00f3 que esto no compensa la ca\u00edda del turismo interno. Hizo hincapi\u00e9 en los esfuerzos de los proveedores por absorber las fluctuaciones del mercado sin trasladar los costes a los consumidores, teniendo en cuenta factores como el IVA, la inflaci\u00f3n, la energ\u00eda y los costes de los alimentos.<\/p>

El evento tambi\u00e9n se centr\u00f3 en las oportunidades, desaf\u00edos y obst\u00e1culos en el mercado laboral a la luz de las reformas laborales propuestas. AVIANCA, que particip\u00f3 en el conversatorio, presumi\u00f3 su condici\u00f3n de la aerol\u00ednea m\u00e1s puntual del mundo y anunci\u00f3 una mayor conectividad con la isla de San Andr\u00e9s. Esta medida tiene como objetivo ayudar a aliviar la crisis econ\u00f3mica que ha experimentado la principal actividad econ\u00f3mica del Archipi\u00e9lago.<\/p>

Un punto destacado del evento fue la presentaci\u00f3n de NetZero by Cotelco, un conjunto de herramientas dise\u00f1adas para ayudar a los establecimientos de alojamiento colombianos a medir, verificar, reducir y compensar su huella de carbono de manera sistem\u00e1tica, eficiente y competitiva.<\/p>
